What is entity clarity?
Entity clarity means your website explains your business in a way that machines can understand and trust. That includes your name, locations, services, and proof.
The checklist
1. Business identity
- Business name matches across your site and citations.
- Clear one-line description near the top of the homepage.
- Contact details are consistent in the footer and contact page.
2. Service structure
- Each core service has its own page with a short summary.
- Related services link to one another with descriptive anchors.
- Page titles match how customers search.
3. Location signals
- Location pages include service coverage and local references.
- Address and service area are easy to find.
- Local reviews are visible on location pages.
4. Proof and authority
- Reviews, certifications, and logos are visible.
- Case studies explain outcomes in plain language.
- Team or leadership pages show expertise.
5. Structured data
- Service and FAQ schema is present.
- LocalBusiness and Organization schema are complete.
- Review schema is used where appropriate.
Why it matters
LLMs cannot guess. If your site does not state facts clearly, the model will choose a different business. Entity clarity gives AI the confidence to cite you.
Run this checklist on your top service page first, then expand to the rest of the site.
